Moving on together.
A mock post-Brexit advert showing people unite through dance and expression.
As part of my year 2 Film and Moving Image Production course, I worked with director Edward Heredia to answer a brief from Big Dog Advertising Agency. The brief called for an advert to be set two years in the future, showing a united Britain moving on together after Brexit. It was not allowed to be political beyond that.
The ad was filmed in and around the Norwich central market, with a mix of professional and amateur dancers. The story focused on a busker named Sophie who has the miraculous ability to infect people with the need to dance. She uses her power to bring the diverse group of people in the market together. It was important to us the dances did not feel too rehearsed, and to focus more on the fun people have when they dance together.
